We are happy to roll out the call for applications for Community Level Trainers (CLTs) within the British Council Skills for Inclusive Digital Participation. It is our request that you circulate this within your network and circles aiming to get at least 5 CLTs who live and work close to your centres.
About the project – The Skills for Inclusive Digital Participation is a project funded by Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) UK government.
The Skills for Inclusive Digital Participation project aims to build capacity of digitally excluded individuals: young people from lower socio-economic backgrounds, women, and Persons Living with Disabilities –(PLWD), to help them develop the digital competencies they need to take part in digital life and online activities safely. The project also aims to contribute to enhancing the livelihoods of the target beneficiaries through entrepreneurship that leverages online resources and markets.About the role – The project will work with Community Level Trainers (CLTs) selected from digitally excluded individuals to deliver the training to beneficiaries. These include young people from lower socio-economic backgrounds, women and Persons Living with Disabilities – PLWD in Mombasa County- Jomvu, Kisauni and Likoni sub-counties and Nairobi County- Mukuru Informal settlement, Mathare and Kibera sub-counties. The selected CLTs will attend the Trainer of Trainer (ToT) workshop before they begin delivering the training to the digitally excluded communities.
