Customer Support Associate
Our client, Sanergy is an award-winning social venture that builds healthy, prosperous communities by making hygienic sanitation accessible and affordable in Africa’s urban informal settlements. Sanergy’s systems-based approach to solving the sanitation crisis involves five key steps: building a dense network of low-cost, high-quality waterless sanitation facilities – called Fresh Life Toilets. The toilets are franchised to community residents, who run them as commercial toilets; landlords, who offer them as a value-added service to their tenants; and schools, to ensure children always have access to a safe sanitation option. Sanergy provides critical support services – such as access to finance, business analytics, training and aspirational marketing and branding. The organization collects the waste regularly and safely removes it from the community for treatment. The waste is then converted into valuable end products, such as organic fertilizer and insect-based animal protein, which is sold to Kenyan farms.
Our client is an increasingly sophisticated, highly intricate organization with many moving parts. Sanergy seeks accomplished, driven individuals who will make substantive contributions to the organization. They currently seek a Customer Support Associate who will work in the Customer Support and Onboarding Team. The Associate is expected to support the FLOs in running their Fresh Life Toilets (FLTs) successfully, ensure hygiene and cleanliness standards are maintained and secure annual renewal commitments and payments from the FLOs.

Skills and Qualifications Required
-Diploma in business related course
-Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
-Fluency in English and Swahili
-Strong problem solving skills
-Good negotiation skills
-Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
-Excellent communication skills on all levels
– Professional interpersonal skills
-Work experience in informal settlement context
-Experience in Customer Support
-Willing to walk since the position requires close monitoring of field teams
